A statement issued by the International Cricket Council (ICC) said that many spectators tried to enter the match between Pakistan and Afghanistan without tickets.According to an ICC statement, police and security staff secured the stadium and used additional resources to disperse the cricket fans and control the situation.
Dubai police closed the gates to control the atmosphere inside the ground, preventing even ticket holders from entering the ground.
The ICC apologized to the individuals and said they could contact the relevant body for a ticket refund, the ICC said, adding that it had also asked the Emirates Cricket Board to try to do so again.
